چکیده
This paper explores the correlation between respondents concerns regarding climate change, their eagerness to adopt an AFV and responsiveness incentives. Seen as solution for a cleaner mobility greenhouse gas reduction in urban areas globally, alternative fuel vehicles (AFV) still own modest market share Europe. Among many reasons, purchase price seems be one of most challenging overcome. Incentives are considered mitigate barrier. The results survey carried out by authors 444 led conclude that participants agree AFVs contribute tackle change. They also deduced represents offside lower-income households. Furthermore, study revealed latter less prone buy vehicle than higher-income families (59% against 80%). inferred generally, households more receptive incentives or benefits based on up-front discounts exemptions, directly impacting immediate savings, such taxes exemption (value added tax circulation tax), However, some differences were observed income segments. For instance, loan interests is among popular lower revenues, whilst higher revenues favour scrappage non-financial Finally, line with other studies, upper incomes dependent carry purchase, put forward differential progressive approach incentive instruments targeting allowing broader equitable access low carbon technology.

Consumers' willingness to pay for alternative fuel vehicles: comparative analysis between US and Japan
This paper conducts conjoint analysis using a mixed logit model to estimate consumers' willingness to pay (WTP) for electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) on the basis of an online survey carried out in the US and Japan in 2012. We also carry out a comparative analysis across four US states. We find that on average the US consumers are more sensitive about fuel cost ...

This paper conducts a comparative discrete choice analysis to estimate consumers’ willingness to pay (WTP) for electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) on the basis of the same stated preference survey carried out in the US and Japan in 2012. We also carry out a comparative analysis across four US states. We find that on average US consumers are more sensitive to fue...
متن کاملEffectiveness and Efficiency of Policies to Promote Alternative Fuel Vehicles
Alternative motor fuels have been advocated in the name of energy security, regional air quality, greenhouse gas emission reduction, and even economic savings. The Energy Policy Act of 1992 sets a goal of replacing 30 percent of conventional fuel use with alternative fuels by the year 2010. Earlier analysis using a single-period equilibrium model demonstrated the feasibility of EPACT’s replacem...
